AWX Executive is urgently seeking 2 experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) Technicians for a major gas plant construction project in the Northern Territory.
n
This is a hands-on construction role requiring technicians who can work across both electrical and instrumentation scopes. The project is currently scheduled through to approximately the end of November ****, with potential commissioning work to follow.
n
The Role You will be working on the installation and construction of a gas processing facility incorporating both new and existing plant.
n Your responsibilities may include:
n
n
Electrical and instrumentation installation
n
Instrument installation, termination and testing
n
Cable installation, glanding and termination
n
Instrument loop checking and testing
n
Calibration and functional testing of instrumentation
n
Reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation drawings, P&IDs; and schematics
n
Installation and connection of field instrumentation
n
Working across switchrooms, compressors, coolers, metering skids and associated process equipment
n
Fault finding and rectification
n
Pre-commissioning and commissioning support
n
Working alongside electricians, instrument technicians and other construction trades
n
Completing works safely and within tight project deadlines
n

This is not a commissioning-only role. Candidates must be comfortable completing hands‐on construction and installation work throughout the project.

$90 per hour flat rate
n
Approximately 22 days on / 6 days off
n
Up to 12-hour shifts
n

Remote/dry camp environment

Project expected to run through to end of November ****

Potential commissioning work following the construction phase
n

At 12 hours per day, potential gross earnings are approximately $23,760 per 22-day swing, subject to actual hours worked and travel arrangements. What We're Looking For To be considered, you will ideally have:
n
n
Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification
n
Instrumentation qualification / Certificate III or equivalent
n
Appropriate electrical licence to undertake work in the Northern Territory
n
Current EEHA / Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas qualification
n
Current White Card
n
Robust E&I; construction experience
n
Industrial electrical and instrumentation installation experience
n
Experience with field instrumentation, terminations, testing and calibration
n
Ability to interpret P&IDs;, schematics and technical drawings
n
Oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, mining or heavy industrial experience highly regarded
n
Previous gas/process plant construction experience advantageous
n
Ability to work a demanding FIFO roster in a remote environment
n
Strong safety focus and work ethic
n
Valid Australian working rights
n
n
Temporary visa holders may be considered where they have appropriate Australian working rights for the duration of the project and hold all required Australian licences and qualifications. Pre-Employment Requirements Successful candidates must be willing to complete:
