Shift Structure & Pay

$***** per hour base rate + applicable shift loadings and overtime

Guaranteed overtime

Currently supporting a major installation project scheduled for completion before Christmas
n
During the current project phase, the team is predominantly working day shifts of approximately ***** hours per day
n
Occasional night shifts may be required depending on the end client's operational requirements
n
Following completion of the installation project, the role will transition onto a long-term rotating roster
n
Long-term roster structure will be either a 4 on / 4 off rotation or 2 weeks days / 2 weeks afternoons / 2 weeks nights
n
15% afternoon shift loading & 30% night shift loading
n
Excellent earning potential through overtime, shift loadings and project hours
n
n
The Role
n
You'll be responsible for electrical installation, maintenance and fault finding across sophisticated automated material handling and robotic systems.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Electrical installation and commissioning of new automated equipment and systems
n
Electrical fault finding and breakdown response across automated and PLC-controlled systems
n
Fault finding on motors, VSDs, sensors and electrical drive systems
n
Working with photoelectric sensors, proximity sensors, encoders and other field devices
n
Diagnosing faults through PLC interfaces and control systems
n
Working on control panels, relays, contactors and safety circuits
n
Electrical maintenance across conveyor, sortation and automated material handling systems
n
Preventative and planned electrical maintenance
n
Supporting system upgrades, modifications and electrical improvements
n
Working closely with mechanical and controls teams to diagnose complex equipment faults
n
Exposure to robotics and advanced automation technology across both legacy and new equipment
n
n
Requirements
n
n
Trade qualified Electrician – Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent
n
Current electrical licence
n
Industrial electrical maintenance, installation or service experience
n
Strong electrical fault-finding skills
n
Experience with motors, VSDs, sensors and control systems
n
PLC fault-finding experience highly regarded
n
Previous experience within automation, manufacturing, logistics, material handling or similar industrial environments highly regarded
