Role Overview
Seeking a
Senior Electrical Engineer
with solid
hands-on detailed design experience
in power, hydropower, or major infrastructure projects, with expertise in Balance of Plant (BoP) electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead detailed
BoP electrical design
, including SLDs, cable sizing, protection, and technical specifications.
Design and review
LV/MV/HV switchgear, transformers, generator feeders, DC and auxiliary systems
.
Coordinate with suppliers, engineering teams, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
Provide
hands-on site engineering support
, inspections, NCR resolution, and commissioning assistance.




Review technical documentation and maintain accurate
As-Built
records.
Required Skills
Electrical/Power Engineering degree with
10+ years' experience
in power plants, hydropower, switchgear, or heavy infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of
LV/MV/HV systems, transformers, protection, grounding, and auxiliary power
.
Strong understanding of
Australian Standards (AS/NZS)
; NER registration highly desirable.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD/Engineering Base, ETAP
, and 3D/BIM tools such as Revizto.
Strong stakeholder management and technical problem-solving skills.
