Job Description
We're looking for a Business Development Director - Mining & Resources (Metals & Mining Operations) to join our team in Brisbane, Australia.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving new logo acquisition and expanding whitespace opportunities within the Mining & Resources sector.
n
You will operate as a market-facing industry seller, leveraging a deep understanding of sector trends, challenges and buying behaviors to identify, engage and convert new enterprise clients. You will position EPAM as a strategic transformation partner across key priorities such as digital transformation, customer experience, data and AI.
n
This role requires a strong focus on net-new revenue generation, building industry-led propositions and expanding underpenetrated accounts through high-value, consultative engagement.

Responsibilities
n
n
Own new logo acquisition within the Mining & Resources sector, driving net-recent revenue growth
n
Identify and convert whitespace opportunities across existing or underdeveloped industry accounts
n
Build and execute industry-led account penetration strategies
n
Develop senior stakeholder relationships (C-suite, VP-level) within Mining & Resources organisations
n
Leverage industry insight and market trends to shape compelling, relevant client propositions
n
Lead the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and qualification through to deal closure
n
Proactively generate pipeline through targeted outreach, industry campaigns and events
n
Position EPAM's capabilities across digital transformation, data, cloud and AI in an industry context
n
Collaborate with internal teams to align solutions with sector-specific client challenges
n
Represent EPAM at industry events, forums and networks to strengthen brand presence
n
Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting and reporting
n

Requirements
n
n
***** years of experience in IT sales / business development with a strong focus on Mining & Resources clients
n
Proven track record of winning new logos and expanding whitespace within industry accounts
n
Strong understanding of Mining & Resources market dynamics, challenges and transformation drivers
n
Experience selling complex, multi-service or consulting-led engagements
n
Demonstrated ability to build pipeline from scratch and close net-new
opportunitiesEstablished
network across Mining & Resources stakeholders and decision-makers
n
Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders and navigating complex organisations
n
Bachelor's degree in business, technology or related field
n
Strong communication, negotiation and commercial acumen
n
Ability to operate independently in a high-growth, target-driven environment
n

Existing relationships with senior stakeholders across major Western Australian mining and resources companies
n
Experience selling digital transformation, data, cloud or AI-led engagements into asset-intensive industries

Familiarity with mining operations, resources value chains or ESG/sustainability priorities in the sector
