The Opportunity
n
Asphalt Paving Services (APS) is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our South Geelong team.
n
You will prepare quotations and tenders across asphalt paving, road maintenance, civil and commercial projects, working closely with clients, suppliers and our Operations team.
n
APS has more than 25 years of industry experience and delivers projects throughout Geelong, Melbourne and regional Victoria.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
n
Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates
n
Develop competitive quotations and tender submissions
n
Estimate asphalt, labour, plant, trucking and production requirements
n
Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing
n
Attend site inspections and assess construction
requirementsIdentify
project risks, exclusions and qualifications
n
Manage client enquiries and quotation follow-up
n
Coordinate successful tender handovers with Operations
n
n
About You
n
Ideally, you will have:
n
n
Estimating experience in asphalt, road construction,



civil construction or a related field
n
Strong understanding of asphalt and civil construction methodologies
n
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
n
Solid numerical, commercial and computer skills
n
Good communication and organisational skills
n
n
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia
n
A qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline would be well regarded, but practical industry experience is equally valued.
n
Asphalt paving, profiling, spray sealing or road maintenance experience will be highly regarded.
