Working as part of a large scale payroll transformation, you will be part of a cooperative team focused on driving process improvement across payroll operations. The role requires engaging with key stakeholders across payroll, HR and finance to deliver meaningful and measurable change in a fast paced and complex program of work.

Duties/Key responsibilities

Map, analyse and redesign end-to-end payroll processes using BPMN and APQC
n
Create clear documentation including payroll workflows, SOPs and process controls
n
Conduct root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies, compliance gaps and performance issues within payroll operations
n
Facilitate cross-functional workshops with payroll, HR and finance stakeholders, and present insights to senior leadership
n
Support change initiatives and drive adoption of new payroll processes across teams
n

Skills and experience
n
n
3-5+ years in process analysis or operational excellence roles, with hands-on exposure to payroll functions
n
Solid understanding of payroll processes, controls and compliance requirements (STP, superannuation, award interpretation)
n
Experience working in large or complex organisations, ideally through a payroll or HR systems transformation
n
Proficiency with process modelling tools (Visio, Signavio, ARIS, or similar)
n
Familiarity with payroll or HRIS platforms (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Chris21/iChris, or similar) highly regarded
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
n
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
