Business Intelligence / Analytics Sydney Contract 6 month contract with potential extension Hands-on role working with BigQuery, Airflow and GCP Build high-performance data solutions supporting enterprise analytics We're partnering with a leading enterprise organisation seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a growing analytics function and help enhance the performance, accessibility and usability of data across the business.
This role will focus on building and optimising a high-performing analytics layer within an existing cloud-based data setting.
You'll work closely with engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to create scalable, intuitive and consumption-ready datasets that support reporting, dashboarding and business insights.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical engineering capability with the ability to understand stakeholder requirements and translate them into practical data solutions.
Key Responsibilities • Design, develop and optimise data pipelines within a GCP environment • Build and maintain analytics-ready datasets and data models • Improve data performance,



quality and accessibility across the platform • Partner with analysts and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements • Develop scalable solutions that support dashboarding and self-service analytics • Contribute to best practices across data engineering and platform development • Support knowledge transfer and handover activities where required Required Experience • Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer • Advanced SQL skills with extensive BigQuery experience • Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow • Experience working within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modelling principles • Experience supporting analytics, reporting and dashboarding environments • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable Experience • Google Cloud Composer or managed Airflow services • PostgreSQL • Analytics Engineering experience • Exposure to enterprise-scale data environments If you're an experienced Data Engineer with strong BigQuery and Airflow expertise and enjoy building scalable data solutions that deliver meaningful business outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
