As our operations and digital infrastructure continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to strengthen the security, resilience and integrity of our ICT systems and digital environment.
About the Role We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analysing and responding to cyber security threats and vulnerabilities across the organisation's ICT environment.
The role will work closely with management and IT service providers to maintain effective security controls and protect business systems, networks, applications and information.
Key Responsibilities Monitor ICT systems and networks for security threats, vulnerabilities and suspicious activity.
Analyse security alerts, system logs and network activity to identify potential cyber security incidents.
Investigate security incidents and undertake appropriate triage, analysis, containment and escalation.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with identifying and mitigating ICT security risks.
Develop, implement and maintain appropriate cyber security controls, policies and procedures.
Configure and maintain security monitoring and threat-detection solutions.
Review firewall, network and access-control configurations and recommend security improvements.
Monitor authentication, user access and privileged-access activities.
Assist with incident response, root-cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
Analyse emerging cyber threats and recommend appropriate preventative and corrective controls.
Assist with security audits, compliance activities and cyber security risk assessments.
Maintain appropriate security documentation, incident records and technical reports.
Work with internal stakeholders and external IT providers to strengthen the organisation's overall cyber security posture.
Skills Experience To be successful in this role, applicants should have: A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
Relevant professional experience in cyber security, ICT security or a closely related technical environment.
Demonstrated experience with security monitoring and incident investigation.
Knowledge of SIEM and security monitoring technologies.
Understanding of network security, firewalls, access controls and security architecture.
Experience working with Windows/server and enterprise ICT environments.
Knowledge of vulnerability management, threat analysis and incident response.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prepare clear technical documentation and security reports.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional business environment.
Experience with technologies such as Microsoft environments, SIEM platforms, firewall/security appliances and enterprise network infrastructure will be highly regarded.
