·Contribute to room documentation, under the guidance of the Lead Educator/ECT, that: ·Reflects the cycle of children's learning, evaluations and critical reflections, extensions and further planning.
·Is written in a professional manner, to a high-quality standard.
·Reflects the principles, practices and outcomes of the learning framework, and relevant learning theories.
·Assist the Lead educator by preparing the required materials and set up of the environment needed for the effective implementation of the program.
·Promote a sense of Belonging, Being and Becoming in the service by: ·Implementing positive interactions and behaviour guidance strategies ·Respecting diversities in children, staff and families ·Maintaining the dignity and rights of each child ·Responding to the emotional and social wellbeing of each child ·Viewing physical care routines as teachable moments ·Supporting individual routines, eg; sleep and rest routines ·Maintaining an environment that reflects curiosity, exploration and problem solving ·Acknowledging the value of the physical environment as being the 'third' teacher.
Essential Qualifications: Certificate III in Early Childhood Care and Education or actively working towards this qualification.
Other Requirements: ·Current First Aid relevant for Early Childhood Education and Care (HTLAID012) ·Current Ochre Card ·Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills ·Ability to actively follow direction, as well as use own initiative when needed.
·Display knowledge of the National Learning Frameworks, and the National Quality Standards.
2) EDUCATIONAL LEADER Salary: $35 to $55 ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) Education and Care of Children ·Always act in a manner that promotes the bests interests of the child, consistently ensure that the rights of the children are upheld, and that child protection practices are implemented in their room.
·Continually promote a culture of reflective practice and ongoing learning, to drive quality and continuous improvement.
·Build positive relationships with the wider community and actively promote the Centre in a positive way.
·Consult and collaborate with the team of educators to develop and confirm approaches to learning programs and documentation.
·Guide the development of documentation and encourage analysis and an understanding of children's learning and development through this documentation.
·Lead and participate in reflective discussions on practice and the implementation of the National learning Frameworks and Standards.
·Mentor and teach educators through observation, guided discussions and recommendations for professional development, working with educators to regularly set professional goals.




·Seek and define approaches to sharing the program of learning and education with families and encourage educators in their communication with families.

Other Requirements: ·Over the age of 18 years ·Working with Children Check (Ochre Card) ·A thorough understanding of the National Learning Frameworks, educational theory, children's development and adult learning.
·The ability to lead and inspire educators ·A passion and energy for pedagogy, teaching and learning.

4) SENIOR LEAD EDUCATOR Salary: $35 to $55 ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) Education and Care of Children ·Promote positive and reciprocal relationships with families ·Provide professional leadership, promoting a culture of staff engagement and teamwork ·Develop a co-operative rapport with all families, encouraging their involvement in the program, and Centre activities ·Maintain confidentiality at all times when discussing sensitive issues with families, or concerning families and children.
·Support families, offering support, advice and referral to other services where necessary, and displaying respect for different child rearing practices, beliefs and their role as the child's first teacher.
·Ensure regular, open communication with families through appropriate written and oral communication methods.
·Draw on the knowledge and experience of families to support their children's learning.
·Reflect the Code of Professional Conduct of the service at all times when representing the service.
·Ensure students on placement, and volunteers in the service are positively welcomed, supported and effectively supervised.
·Build collaborative relationships with all staff in the service, based on respect, honesty and trust.
·Acknowledge and support personal strengths, skilled experience and team diversity ·Workplace Health and Safety ·Work in a manner that does not pose a risk to yourself, or others ·Ensure a safe workplace through the implementation of safe work practices, and supervision policies.
·Act immediately on any safety issues within the service, report to the Workplace Health and Safety Officer, or the Nominated Supervisor, including the need to remove, repair, or replace any equipment.
·Ensure that you are knowledgeable on the Centre's Child Protection Policy, and your obligations under child safety law.
·Ensure that you are compliant with Northern Territory Working with Children Check legislation, and have a current Ochre Card at all times.
·Understand, implement and be involved in the review of emergency management procedures as required.
·Be aware of and implement the Workplace Health and Safety policy of the service.
·Complete opening and closing checklist as required.
·Follow appropriate food safety procedures when handling, cooking, serving food.
