Full time | 38 hours per week | $82,000 per annum + superannuation Halfway Motel is seeking an experienced and motivated Motel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our accommodation and associated hospitality facilities in Eden, NSW.
Halfway Motel provides short-term accommodation across 28 motel rooms and also incorporates restaurant, function and event facilities.
We are looking for a capable manager who can coordinate these different areas while maintaining high standards of guest service and operational efficiency.
About the Role Reporting to the Director, the Motel Manager will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the overall operations of the motel, including accommodation, reservations, reception, housekeeping, maintenance, staffing, guest services, purchasing and financial and operational activities.
The role will also oversee and coordinate the motel's restaurant, function centre and event operations as part of the broader accommodation and hospitality business.
Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise the overall day-to-day operations of the motel.
Coordinate reservations, reception, housekeeping and room-service activities.
Recruit, train, supervise and monitor the performance of motel staff.
Prepare staff rosters and coordinate staffing requirements across the business.
Maintain high standards of guest service and manage escalated guest enquiries and complaints.
Oversee maintenance, repairs, security and presentation of motel rooms and facilities.
Plan and supervise the motel's restaurant,



function centre and event operations.
Coordinate functions, events and group bookings with accommodation, reception and housekeeping requirements.
Oversee staffing, purchasing, suppliers and service standards associated with restaurant and function activities.
Monitor occupancy levels, bookings, staffing requirements and operational workloads.
Maintain operational and financial records and assist with budgeting and expenditure control.
Manage supplier relationships, purchasing and inventory requirements.
Ensure the motel complies with applicable workplace health and safety and operational requirements.
Develop and oversee initiatives to improve occupancy, bookings and guest satisfaction.
Maintain relationships with guests, travel agents, corporate clients, tourism operators, suppliers and local businesses.
Oversee accommodation booking platforms, website content and relevant online channels.
Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this position, applicants should have: A Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or a closely related field; and Relevant experience in motel, hotel, accommodation or hospitality management.
Applicants should have experience coordinating multiple areas of an accommodation or hospitality business rather than experience limited solely to reception or front-office duties.
