With BYD continuing its rapid growth across Australia, we are looking for a proven automotive sales leader who can drive performance, develop people and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the importance of strong process and accountability, and wants to play a key role in the continued growth of our BYD Gold Coast operations.
The Role Reporting to the General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the BYD Surfers Paradise sales department.
Key responsibilities will include : Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing sales team Driving monthly sales, order intake and delivery objectives Managing daily sales activity, lead management and conversion performance Ensuring every customer opportunity is followed up professionally and consistently Driving strong Lead Test Drive Order conversions Conducting regular one-on-ones,



performance reviews and daily sales meetings Maintaining strong sales pipeline and forecasting disciplines Working closely with Business Managers to maximise Finance and Insurance opportunities Driving trade-in and Car Care performance Ensuring accurate CRM and sales reporting Maintaining strong manufacturer training and dealership scorecard compliance Taking ownership of customer experience and NPS performance Creating a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement Working collaboratively across our broader BYD Gold Coast operations About You We are looking for a leader who brings energy, discipline and a genuine passion for developing people.
You will need : Previous automotive Sales Manager, Assistant Sales Manager, or Senior Sales leadership experience A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets Strong leadership, coaching and people-management capability A sound understanding of automotive sales processes and dealership KPIs Strong lead-management and CRM disciplines The ability to analyse performance data and turn it into clear actions Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong commercial awareness across sales, finance, trade-ins and aftermarket A proactive, hands-on leadership style A genuine desire to build a high-performance team culture Experience with New Energy Vehicles is advantageous but not essential.




More important is your ability to lead people, embrace change and execute consistently.
