About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and positive
Soccer Coaches and Assistant Coaches
to join our team.
This is a
flexible casual position
, with sessions delivered during school terms, including:
After-school sessions
Evening sessions
Some weekend sessions
Coaching takes place in community settings, activity centres and school gymnasiums across Victoria.
Where possible, travel will be limited to approximately
30km from your home base
.
What You'll Do
You will support children of all abilities to participate in soccer through patient, encouraging and individualised coaching.
Your role will include:
Delivering fun and engaging soccer sessions
Helping participants develop soccer skills and confidence
Supporting children to work towards their individual goals




Building positive and professional relationships with participants and their families
Adapting communication and coaching approaches to suit individual needs
Creating a safe, inclusive and respectful environment
Working collaboratively with families, carers, coaches, volunteers and other members of a participant's support network
Working within the NDIS Code of Conduct and your role responsibilities
You don't need to be an experienced coach to apply.
Training and mentoring can be provided
to the right person.
We're Looking For Someone Who
Enjoys working with children
Has a positive, patient and encouraging personality
Has an interest in soccer or sport
Is reliable, respectful and professional
Can build trusting relationships with children and families
Is willing to learn and develop their coaching skills
Can recognise when they need support and work within their capabilities
Previous experience coaching, teaching or working with children is an advantage,
but is not essential
.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
Current
Working with Children Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Current driver's licence
Access to and use of your own vehicle
The NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module information will be provided prior to commencement.

Applicants must have
unrestricted working rights in Australia
.
Applicants must be one of the following:
Australian citizen
Australian permanent resident
New Zealand citizen with appropriate Australian work rights
Holder of a visa that provides
unrestricted work rights in Australia
Soccer Fun Academy does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants may be required to provide evidence of their right to work in Australia prior to commencement.
Qualifications
A
Foundation of Football Certificate (formerly Miniroos Certificate)
or similar coaching qualification is preferred.
Don't have a coaching qualification yet?
Training can be provided
for the right applicant.

Pay rate: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
Who You'll Work With
You will report to the
Soccer Fun Academy Administration Team
and work alongside coaches, volunteers, NDIS participants, families and carers.
