About the role The Painter is responsible for delivering high-quality painting and rendering services across residential and commercial projects in the ACT.
The role requires meticulous surface preparation, expert application of coatings and render, and strict adherence to safety standards.
The successful candidate will work efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining the quality standards of Sanchez Rendering and Painting Pty Ltd.
Duties and Responsibilities Inspect work areas to determine the required preparation methods.
Protect surrounding areas using drop sheets, masking tape, and plastic coverings.
Remove old paint and wallpaper using scrapers, heat guns, or chemical strippers.
Repair cracks, holes, and imperfections using appropriate fillers and sealants.
Sand surfaces to ensure a smooth and even base for coating application.
Wash and treat surfaces to remove dirt, grease, and mould.
Mix and match paints to achieve the required colour and consistency.
Apply primers, undercoats, and finishing coats using brushes, rollers, and airless spray equipment.
Apply rendering materials to interior and exterior surfaces to achieve specified textures and finishes.




Ensure all finishes are uniform, free of drips, and meet client specifications.
Perform touch-ups and defect rectification as directed by the Site Supervisor.
Clean and maintain all painting tools, spray equipment, and machinery daily.
Erect and dismantle scaffolding, trestles, and ladders safely.
Monitor inventory levels of paint, render, and consumables.
Notify management when supplies need restocking.
Maintain a clean and organized work site at all times.
Dispose of chemical waste, empty tins, and debris in accordance with environmental regulations.
Essential Skills Demonstrated proficiency in modern rendering techniques.
Strong knowledge of different paint types, solvents, and application methods.
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
