About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software and Applications Programmer to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will research, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software programs and applications.
The role will also involve analysing existing systems, identifying technical issues and inefficiencies, developing solutions, and supporting the ongoing improvement and maintenance of software applications.
Key Responsibilities Research, analyse, and evaluate software and system requirements in consultation with users and relevant stakeholders.
Design, develop, modify, and maintain software applications in accordance with business and technical requirements.
Identify and resolve limitations, technical issues, and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes.
Write, review, test, debug, and maintain high-quality program code in accordance with technical specifications and established standards.
Conduct software testing and diagnose and correct programming errors to ensure system reliability and performance.
Integrate software components and support the implementation of new and modified applications.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, system specifications,



and operational procedures.
Monitor application performance and recommend improvements to enhance functionality, efficiency, and usability.
Provide technical advice and input into software development strategies, project planning, proposals, and cost estimates.
Collaborate with team members and clients to understand requirements and deliver appropriate software solutions.
Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 2 years of skilled experience in software and application development.
Strong understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and software development lifecycle practices.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar.
Experience with software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and version control.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into practical software solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
