We offer an exciting prospect for an experienced Casual Dental Assistant to join our Dental clinic in Cairns for an immediate start for approximately 3-4 days per week in line with the University calendar.

Ours is one of only three dental schools in Australia located outside a capital city.

Clinical support as required
n




Sterilisation duties in the sterilising department
n
Assist with the maintenance, ordering, rotation and storage of stock of clinical consumables
n
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety legislation and infection control policies and procedures
n
Requirements
n
Certificate III in Dental Assisting (preferable)
n
Must have knowledge of dental materials, medicaments and instruments used in a dental clinic
n
Chairside assisting experience
n
Work well in a team environment including the ability to perform as a multi-skilled team member being reliable, consistent and punctual
n
Computer literacy and willingness to learn new programs
n
High level of organisational, communication and team skills
n
A mature and caring nature, a commitment to patient care
n
