Launch Recruitment is representing a leading enterprise organisation in the search for a Senior Security Platform Engineer to support and optimise Cyber Defence and Threat Detection operations.
n
The role applies Reliability Engineering principles across SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, and Exposure Management platforms, driving reliability through observability, automation, incident management and
n suits a highly technical engineer with a passion for security, automation and Everything as Code.
n
Responsibilities include -
n
n
Driving platform reliability and performance by defining and monitoring SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and platform health across core security platforms
n
Leading reliability improvements through proactive risk identification, observability, reliability reviews, and engineering enhancements
n
Build and manage observability solutions across security platforms
n
Develop monitoring and alerting automation using observability-as-code principles
n
Lead security platform incident response and recovery, coordinating major incidents, stakeholder communications,



and post-incident reviews
n
Drive operational excellence through runbooks, incident trend analysis, on-call maturity, alert optimisation, and planned change management
n
Drive platform performance optimisation
n
n
Requirements include -
n
n
5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering within large enterprise environments
n
Proven expertise in SRE practices, including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, observability, incident management, and reliability engineering for complex platforms
n
Hands-on experience with automation and platform engineering, including Python scripting, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and everything-as-code methodologies
n
Robust knowledge of cloud and observability technologies
n
Experience supporting enterprise security platforms and operations, such as SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, or SOC environments
n
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
n
