Thursday Island Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Maternal and Child Health for a six-week contract role based in Thursday Island, Queensland. This is a fixed-term position running from 27 August to 9 October ****, offering AUD$89 per hour. The successful candidate will bring senior clinical expertise to the maternal and child health service, contributing to portfolio and audit management alongside direct clinical leadership.

Preferred Requirements
n

Minimum three years' experience in maternal and child health nursing
n
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
n
Current Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
n
Demonstrated experience in immunisation practice and delivery
n
Ability to contribute to portfolio development and clinical audit processes
n
n
Preferred Qualifications
n
n
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
n
Post-graduate qualification or specialist credential in maternal and child health nursing
n
Experience in remote or regional healthcare settings is advantageous
