We are seeking a Night Care and Support Worker for our Pears Court Retirement Living Service.
At Jewish Care, we support people to live independently, with dignity and connection at the heart of everything we do.
Our Retirement Living services offer a vibrant, supportive community where tenants can enjoy their independence, knowing care and support are there when needed.
This role is based on an average of 35 hours per week, worked across a two-week rolling rota.
Night shifts run from 9:00pm to 7:00am.
The shift pattern is as follows
Week 1: Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Friday
There is a genuine occupational requirement, in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act ****, for the postholder to be female.
About the role
This isn't a typical care role.
As a Care & Support Worker, you'll support tenants living in their own flats—helping them stay independent, connected, and in control of their lives.
From practical support to companionship, you'll build meaningful relationships and play a key role in creating a strong community.
What you'll be doing
Supporting tenants with personal care and daily living
Promoting independence, choice, and dignity
Building trusted relationships with tenants and their families
Supporting wellbeing through social activities and community engagement
Working with health and social care professionals to provide joined-up support
Keeping accurate records and using care planning systems
What we're looking for
Caring, compassionate, and respectful
A great communicator who enjoys building relationships
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable supporting people with different needs, including dementia
Willing to learn and develop
Experience in care is helpful but not essential—we provide full training.
What makes this role different
You'll support people in their own homes, not a care home setting
A strong focus on independence and choice
A real sense of community and connection
Opportunities to build long-term, meaningful relationships
What you'll get in return
Full training and ongoing development
A supportive, friendly team
Opportunities to progress within health and social care
A role where you can make a genuine difference every day
Why this role matters
For many of our tenants, you're the person who helps them stay independent, feel secure, and remain connected to their community.
Your support helps them continue living life on their terms.
