About the Role
n
You will prepare and produce meals according to the production reports and standard recipes, completing bulk cook/chill food production whilst adhering to strict food safety standards.
n
Deliver a high standard of patient food services and ensure competency certification of all tasks undertaken
n
Observe and follow correct food handling policies and procedures as documented in the Food Safety Program
n
Monitor waste management and stock rotation
n
Ensure the production schedule is complete and ready for plating staff
n
Ensure all food is prepared cooked, stored and labelled as per work schedule
n
Some minor sandwich and salad meal preparation may be required
n
The classification for this position will be IN17 ($***** per hour) plus casual loading
n
Your Contribution
n
Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
n
A keen knowledge and awareness of food safety plans and possible dietary requirements
n
Current Food Handlers Certificate (HLTFSE001)
n
Experience in high volume food services
n
Customer service driven
n
A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
n

About the Food Services Team
n
St Vincent's Fitzroy Food service department is a central production kitchen providing food for 11 sites and for St Vincent's itself. We are fully functional kitchen operating 365 days of the year, producing approximately **** meals daily in accordance to the "cook-chill" methodology for all sites.

The team delivers a high standard of patient food service and ensures each meal that leaves the kitchen is prepared with the utmost of care.
