The Role
n
Reporting to the Procurement Coordinator,
n the purpose of this position is to work
n collaboratively within the Procurement team to deliver effective, compliant and
n value for money procurement outcomes by coordinating and supporting Council's
n procurement activities whilst ensuring compliance with relevant legislation,
n policies, procedures and governance requirements
n
About You
n
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
n including the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external
n stakeholders, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exercising sound
n judgement. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team and




n meet organisational and legislative deadlines.
n
n
Relevant Procurement or other relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
n
Demonstrated experience on contract administration and contract performance management
n
Awareness of legislation applicable to procurement in Local Government
n
Proven experience relating to processes associated with tendering and quotations
n
Proven knowledge of Australian Standard General Conditions relating to construction, consultancy and goods and other services
n
The right to live and work in Australia
n
Class C Drivers Licence
n
WHS General Construction Work in NSW
n
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
n
Successful applicants will be required to undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
n
