Heat and Control is seeking a pragmatic legal professional to join our Mount Gravatt East office. Whether you are transitioning from private practice or building on in-house experience, you will be instrumental in driving legal strategies that support business growth and operational success.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Legal and Compliance Manager, you will be responsiblefor reviewing and advising on legal risks in contracts and other commercial dealings to ensure regulatory compliance in a global manufacturing business. You will be required to propose, develop, and maintain compliance with risk management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
n
Research, review, and interpret legislation and case law to ensure regulatory compliance.
n
Draft and review non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents as required.
n
Draft legal advice regarding gaps in compliance.
n
Review and draft privacy and other internal policies to align with internal regulatory requirements.
n
Research and provide advice on areas of law as required (e.g., privacy and data protection law, workplace law, trade law, contract law, tort law, and corporations law).
n
Discuss and engage with stakeholders and agents of the business regarding legal and compliance matters.
n
About You
n
To be successful you will have:
n
Bachelor of Law.
n
A proven record, and a very strong ability,



to analyse and evaluate a broad range of legal and compliance risks across various regulatory regimes that impact a global manufacturing business.
n
Background in contract review, including procurement contracts, sales contracts and confidentiality agreements.
n
Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies for global operations.
n
Prior experience in a global manufacturing organisation is highly desirable.
n
Demonstrated legal problem-solving skills and the ability to engage in intellectual group discussions in a mature and objective way.
