A globally recognised market leader is seeking a commercially astute Finance / Commercial Project Controller to partner with senior operational leaders across a complex portfolio of large-scale engineering and infrastructure projects. This is a high-impact role for a finance professional who enjoys working close to the business, influencing outcomes, and driving commercial performance in a project-based environment.

Reporting to a senior finance leader, you will act as a trusted advisor to project execution and tender teams, providing commercial insight, financial governance and performance analysis across a diverse project portfolio. The position combines business partnering, project controls, risk management and financial leadership in a highly visible role supporting strategic business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
n
Partner with project delivery and operational teams to optimise project financial performance
n
Monitor and analyse project revenue, margins, cash flow and cost-to-complete performance
n
Provide commercial challenge and support during tender and bid reviews
n
Identify risks and opportunities across the project portfolio and drive mitigation strategies
n
Deliver accurate forecasting, financial reporting and KPI analysis
n
Support governance, compliance and financial control frameworks




n
Influence business decisions through insightful financial analysis and commercial recommendations
n
Build strong relationships across finance, operations, legal, contract management and executive stakeholders.
n
You are an analytical and commercially minded finance professional with experience supporting complex project environments. You possess the confidence to challenge stakeholders, influence decision-making and navigate competing priorities while maintaining strong governance standards.

To be successful, you will bring:
n
Degree qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
n
Experience in project controlling, project finance, commercial management or project accounting environments
n
Strong understanding of project financial performance, forecasting and risk management
n
Exposure to contract-based or project execution businesses
n
Advanced analytical capability and highly developed Excel and reporting skills
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
n
The ability to operate autonomously while building credibility across multiple levels of leadership.
n
