Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Backup and Storage

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading utilities provider. This role is critical in assessing and advising on the best-fit technologies for the client's existing infrastructure, with a strong focus on Backup, Recovery, and Storage solutions.
n
You will design, implement, and maintain core infrastructure systems, oversee technical designs, and ensure compliance with standards while guiding external service providers.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assess available technologies and recommend optimal solutions for Backup, Recovery, and Storage.
n
Direct translation of requirements into high-level and detailed solution designs aligned with standards.
n




Oversee design documentation and provide guidance to developers and configuration specialists.
n
Review architecture and assure quality of solution implementations.
n
Collaborate with stakeholders and service providers to deliver complex solutions.
n
Provide input into strategic technology direction and enterprise architecture.
n

Mandatory Requirements
n
n
Proven experience as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer or Technical Infrastructure Architect.
n
Expertise in Backup, Recovery, and Storage technologies (vendor-neutral approach).
n
Solid knowledge of infrastructure components and ability to evaluate technology options.
n
Ability to manage external service providers and ensure compliance with standards.
