Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, the CTO is responsible for product management, product and backend design, engineering leadership, and the day-to-day management of the development team, including the development, maintenance, hosting, and support of the Taskr platform.

Key responsibilities
n

Develop and maintain technical standards and guidelines for the Taskr Group Development team
n
Develop and maintain resource plans for the Taskr Group Development team
n
Maintain and support AWS infrastructure and other operational assets
n
Active participation in the recruitment process in the Development Team and ensure that quality candidates with the right level of skills sets are selected and hired
n
Day to day management of the Development Team
n
Lead end-to-end product management, including discovery, prioritisation, requirements definition, roadmap governance, release planning, and ongoing enhancement of the Taskr platform
n
Document customer, client, and business requirements and translate them into clear product specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and high-quality solutions
n
Own and document product and backend design, including data models, APIs, integrations, technical architecture, security, scalability, performance, and maintainability
n




Lead backend engineering delivery and develop application features to written technical specifications
n
Set and maintain engineering quality practices, including code review, automated testing, observability, deployment readiness, and operational support
n

About you
n
n
Minimum 10 years' experience developing with PHP or similar and using MVC frameworks
n
Minimum 5 years' experience developing with Frontend JS frameworks (React, Vue.JS) or similar
n
Demonstrated experience leading product management for a software or SaaS platform, from discovery and prioritisation through delivery and iteration
n
Robust working knowledge of product and backend solution design, including APIs, data modelling, integrations, cloud architecture, security, performance, and scalability
n
Strong working knowledge of backend engineering practices, including code structure, testing, observability, performance, security, and reliability
n
Experience working with integrating third-party platforms through APIs and other data sources
n
Strong working knowledge of code versioning tools such as GIT
n
Strong working knowledge of AWS Server infrastructure
n
Strong working knowledge of MySQL Relational Databases (queries, design and optimisation)
n
Experience with accessibility and security compliance
