Expression of Interest - Patient Transport Officer/ ATA

About the role
n
We are currently taking Expressions of Interest for qualified Patient Transport Officers and Ambulance Transport Attendants for our branches in Ballarat, Geelong, West Melbourne and East Keilor.
n
Our PTOs and ATAs provide care and transport of non-emergency patients in accordance with the St John Ambulance Patient Transport Quality System. The PTOs & ATAs work effectively together using superior communication skills with the ability to manage extreme and complex situations with calmness and integrity.
n
The role works across a 24/7 roster, 365 days a year, including working across a variety of shift types, acuities, vehicle platforms and for various customer including Ambulance Victoria and a range of public and private hospitals.
n
Applicants will be added to our candidate pool and will be contacted when we are undertaking intakes throughout the year.

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
n
n
Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport (PTO) or Minimum Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) or equivalent, Registered Nurse Division 1 with appropriate Bridging Course
n
Valid and full Australian Driver Licence and safe driving record
n
Ability to consistently maintain confidentiality
n
Able to work as part of a team or autonomously
n
Ability to read, understand and follow detailed policies and procedures
n
