Key Responsibilities
n
Mid-Level Shopfitter:
n
n
Carry out shopfitting installations to a high standard, working from plans and specifications
n
Work closely with the site team to ensure works are completed on time and to program
n
Follow all site safety procedures and actively contribute to a safe working environment
n
Coordinate with other trades on site to ensure smooth workflow and minimal delays
n
Take ownership of assigned tasks, working independently while knowing when to upscale issues
n
Maintain quality control on your own work, ensuring it meets the required standard before sign-off
n
Communicate progress and any on-site issues clearly to the Site Supervisor/Manager
n
Handle tools and equipment safely and maintain a clean, organised work area
n
Assist in overseeing and managing all trades on site
n
Oversee the implementation of site safety procedures and ensure all protocols are monitored and followed
n




Monitor progress of shopfitting works against the construction program, ensuring trades are coordinating effectively with one another
n
Oversee the quality of shopfitting works to ensure the required standard is achieved on every job
n
Schedule and coordinate site staff to address priority issues as they ariseIssue site instructions and correspondence as required to trade contractors and consultants
n
Report regularly to the Site Manager, flagging any current or potential issues
n
n
Requirements
n
n
Minimum 5 years of experience in
shopfitting/commercial
carpentry
n
Ability to read and interpret construction and shop drawings
n
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship is a must
n
Proven ability to run a site and manage trades in office
n
Reliable, punctual and a team player
n
ABN, trade qualified, White Card, drivers licence, own tools and PPE, Australian working rights
n
n
Requirements
n
n
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
n
QBCC highly regarded but not essential
n
High level ability to read and interpret construction and shop drawings
n
Well-developed planning and coordination skills, including industry knowledge
n
Strong leadership and management skills - leading by example
n
Reliable, punctual and a team player
n
ABN, White Card, drivers licence, own tools and PPE, Australian working rights
n
