The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a leading organisation based in Macquarie Park on an initial 6-month contract.
n
Working within a collaborative and high-performing finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations and broader accounting activities.
n
This role will provide exposure to a range of stakeholders across the business and is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment.
n
You will work closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting while also contributing to process improvements and finance projects.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Manage month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
n
Prepare monthly financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
n
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and detailed variance analysis.
n
Support audit, compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
n
Partner with internal stakeholders and provide financial insights and support.
n




Assist with finance projects and process improvement initiatives.
n
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.
n

About You
n
n
Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant role.
n
Strong technical accounting and month-end experience.
n
Excellent reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
n
Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
n
CA/CPA qualification or working towards qualification is highly regarded.
n
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
n
Available to commence immediately or at short notice.
n
