Job Description

This role is responsible planning maintenance activities via FIIX and managing contract service providers. This role also co-ordinates activities and resources on the site and develops timelines, budgets and coordinates the
engineering/maintenance
stores at the site, including inventory, ordering, and store management.
n
Key Accountabilities:
n
Maintenance Planning
n
Administering all aspects of planned maintenance in CMMS including developing detailed BOM's, PMs, equipment histories etc.
n
Liaising with the Reliability teams as well as contractors, Manufacturing Manager and Production Schedulers
n
Sponsoring compliance with statutory and company policy guidelines with particular focus on work method safety and routine servicing of essential services
n
Plans major overhaul activities across the calendar year establishing resources, budgets and production availability
n
Coaching other Maintenance staff in best practice maintenance methodologies
n
Reviewing suitability of component specification
n
Developing and administering Maintenance KPI's
n




Managing some minor replacement projects
n
Supporting other process improvement teams with maintenance expertise as required
n
Planning, Implementation and effectiveness review of maintenance activities.
n
Plans to ensure that all materials for the above are available (timely)
n
Problem solving/FMEA and data analysis
n
Stock Management
n
Ensure the correct quantity of goods are received, stored and available for use, that all goods are receipted, and that stores and office areas are kept tidy.
n
Partner with vendors and procurement to ensure cost-effective and timely supply of quality parts.
n
Develop and manage Store lay-out to ensure efficient use of space and ease of parts retrieval aligned with OES 5s practices.
n
Complete stocktaking and maintain accurate stock records.
n
Create equipment trees and Bills of Materials (BOMs) with risk-based allocation of spare parts.
n
Partner with trades team members to develop strategies to identify critical spares based on risk (proactive stock management).
n
Assist in preparations for major machine overhaul works
n
Identify and implement approaches to improve to stock management e.g.



use of predictive maintenance to determine part replacement
n
Cost, efficiency and sustainability
n
Conduct day to day cost analysis for Repairs and Maintenance budget, prepare weekly reports, monthly and annual reports and budgets.
n
Deliver projects on time and on budget.
n
Skills and attributes:
n
Strong problem solving, project management, customer relationship, and communication skills.
n
Ability to work as part of a team; lives the company values and leads for purpose.
n
Experience:
n
At least 5 years in a Maintenance or Manufacturing environment, ideally within FMCG.
n
Experience in engineering stock control and planning
n
Sound knowledge of database systems. SAP and FIIX experience preferred
n
Qualifications:
n
Mechanical or Electrical trade.
