A well-established residential aged care home is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef Manager to lead its catering and food services team.

About the Role
n As Chef Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and catering service, ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals that meet their individual dietary requirements and preferences.
n This role combines hands-on cooking, team leadership, menu planning, compliance, ordering and kitchen operations. You will work closely with residents, care teams and management to continually improve the dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the kitchen and catering team
n
Prepare and oversee high-quality meals for residents
n
Develop menus that consider nutrition, choice and resident preferences
n
Manage food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance requirements
n
Coordinate ordering,



stock control and supplier relationships
n
Manage kitchen budgets, wastage and operational costs
n
Ensure texture-modified and special dietary requirements are met
n
Build relationships with residents and seek feedback on dining experiences
n
n
About You
n
You are a passionate, organised and hands-on Chef Manager who genuinely enjoys creating a positive dining experience for older people.
n
What you will bring
n
n
Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef or similar
n
Relevant Commercial Cookery qualifications
n
Food Safety Supervisor certification
n
Experience working within aged care or a high-volume catering environment
n
Knowledge of texture-modified diets and dietary requirements
n
Current Police Check or ability to obtain one
n
