About the Opportunity
n
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Contract Manager to join our Grounds & Open Spaces team. The Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a commercial grounds maintenance contract responsible for mowing and horticulture management for one of Melbourne's largest municipalities in the outer-northern suburbs.
n
This permanent full time position is based in Epping, VIC and presents an opportunity to lever your groundskeeping knowledge and management experience while having a meaningful impact at work with an organisation that supports balancing your passions.

Leveraging your strong operations background and business acumen, your key responsibilities will be to:

Oversee daily operations.
n
Coach, mentor and lead contract team.
n
Deliver exceptional customer relationship management.

Partner with clients and operations team to achieve organic & recent growth objectives.

Prepare and deliver financial budgets and forecasts.

Continually improve strategies and processes to increase performance.

Provide expert knowledge to the development of bids & tenders.

Promote and develop a safety culture across the business.

About You
n
To excel in this role, you will be a motivated professional with a 'can-do' attitude, knack for people engagement and drive for operational excellence. A background or strong knowledge of the groundskeeping industry and maintenance services is also highly desirable, however not essential (grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping, mowing, turf, facilities maintenance etc).

Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:
n

Grounds and/or open spaces maintenance experience highly desirable.
n
Demonstrated contract management experience.
n
Highly developed communication and strong stakeholder engagement ability.
n
Proactive approach to relationship management and business development.
n
