We're looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team in Hawthorn, working across high-end custom homes valued from approximately $2.5M to $10M+. This role focuses on competitive tendering, pre-contract pricing and production estimating, working closely with our Building Consultants, Project Managers and Construction team to ensure every project is accurately costed from concept through to site commencement.

The Opportunity
n
As an Estimator, you'll take ownership of multiple tenders and projects simultaneously, preparing detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities and purchase orders while ensuring accuracy, commercial outcomes and exceptional customer service.
n
You'll work within a collaborative estimating team while being trusted to manage your own portfolio and make commercial decisions with confidence.

What You'll Be Doing
n
Preparing detailed competitive tenders and pre-contract estimates for luxury custom homes.
n
Reviewing architectural, engineering and consultant documentation to identify opportunities and risks.
n
Producing accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and purchase orders prior to construction.
n
Managing pricing throughout the customer journey, including variations and contract adjustments.
n
Working closely with Building Consultants, Project Managers, Site Managers and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery.

Maintaining supplier relationships and monitoring current market pricing.
n
Supporting value engineering and identifying commercially beneficial solutions without compromising design intent.

About You
n
You'll be someone who enjoys solving complex construction challenges and takes pride in producing highly accurate work.
n
You'll ideally bring:
n
5+ years' estimating experience within custom homes, luxury residential or high-end townhouse projects.
n
Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing and costs.
n
Experience preparing competitive tenders and production estimates.
n
The ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
n
Excellent commercial judgement and attention to detail.
n
Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work autonomously.
n
Experience using Procore and Databuild (or similar estimating software) is highly regarded.
n
Site or construction experience before moving into estimating will be viewed favourably.
