Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Associate or Senior Associate to join the Group's Trustee and Responsible Entity Solutions team.
n
We are intentionally open to appointing at either Associate or Senior Associate level. The final level will reflect the successful candidate's experience, technical capability, judgement and ability to manage workstreams independently.
n

Based primarily in our Melbourne CBD office, the role offers broad exposure across fund establishment, transaction execution, trustee oversight, governance and ongoing fund operations within a growing financial services group.

What you will do
n
You will work closely with the Head of Trustee and RE Solutions and broader SILC team to support the delivery of trustee and responsible entity services.
n
Key duties and areas of responsibility include:
n
n
Support and, where appropriate, lead responses to client requests and day-to-day queries.
n
Coordinate with investment managers, legal advisers, administrators and other service providers to deliver timely operational outcomes.
n
Assist with fund establishment, onboarding and implementation workstreams.
n
Support the preparation and review of fund documents, including trust deeds, information memoranda and operational workflows.
n
Monitor establishment milestones and proactively follow up outstanding deliverables.
n
Process Proper Instructions and related trustee activities in accordance with SILC policies and procedures.
n
Review transaction documentation and support settlement execution.
n
Maintain accurate records of trustee decisions, instructions and operational activities.
n
Assist with monitoring funds against governing documents, client mandates, regulatory requirements and SILC policies.
n
Support compliance reviews, incident registers, reporting obligations, audit requests and governance records.
n
Identify operational, governance or compliance issues and escalat[e]??
n
Contribute to the development and improvement of processes, controls, checklists, templates and operating procedures.
n
Work collaboratively with Trustee Solutions, Fund Administration, Risk & Compliance, Legal and Accounting teams.
n
Contribute positively to a professional, accountable and compliance-aware team culture.

At Senior Associate level, you will also be expected to:
n
n
Take greater ownership of assigned mandates and workstreams.
n
Manage more complex trustee, transaction and stakeholder matters.
n
Act as a key relationship contact for assigned clients and external stakeholders.
n
Apply sound judgement, recommend next steps and escalat[e]??
n
Support the training and development of Associates and junior team members.
n
Help lift operating standards and drive process and control improvements.
n
n
What we are looking for
n
n
Experience in financial services, funds management, trustee services, responsible entity operations, custody, investor relations, trust administration or fund administration.
n
An understanding of trustee, responsible entity, managed investment scheme and fund administration concepts, or a demonstrated ability to develop this capability quickly.
n
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate documentation and disciplined record keeping.
n
A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused approach.
n
Sound judgement and the confidence to escalat[e]??
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
The ability to manage competing priorities within a regulated and compliance-focused environment.

For appointment at Senior Associate level, we expect demonstrated experience managing workstreams independently, reviewing transaction documentation, coordinating stakeholders and supporting junior team members.

Preferred Qualifications
n
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, accounting, finance or a related discipline.
n
Experience within an AFSL-regulated financial services environment.
n
Experience with managed investment schemes, trustee operations or responsible entity services.
n
Familiarity with fiduciary governance, risk management and regulatory compliance frameworks.
n
