Magpies Waitara is seeking experienced and motivated Duty Managers to join our leadership team.
n
These are hands-on leadership positions, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Club's day-to-day operations—including food and beverage, gaming, member services, events, and compliance.
n
As Duty Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, supporting staff, maintaining compliance, and delivering exceptional experiences for our members and guests.

About the Roles
n
As a Duty Manager at Magpies Waitara, you will:
n
n
Lead and coordinate daily Club operations across all service areas, including food and beverage, gaming, reception, bars, and events.
n
Drive a culture of excellence in service, presentation, and member experience.
n
Mentor and coach staff, building capability, engagement, and teamwork.
n
Ensure compliance with RSA, RCG, WHS, and all relevant legislation and Club policies.
n
Respond to incidents, member feedback, and operational issues in a qualified and proactive manner.
n
Support senior management in delivering strategic, operational, and community-focused goals.
n
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead, motivate, and mentor frontline staff during operational shifts.
n
Oversee all aspects of daily Club operations,
ensuring smooth and efficient service across food and beverage, gaming, reception, events, and member services.
n
Monitor service delivery and venue presentation to consistently exceed member and guest expectations.
n
Manage compliance requirements including RSA, RCG, WHS, AML/CTF and security.
n
Act as the senior operational contact during shifts, providing guidance and support to staff while addressing operational issues.
n
Handle conflict resolution with staff and customers, maintaining professionalism at all times.
n
Contribute to reporting, communication, and handover processes for senior management.
n

About You
n
n
Have hospitality or licensed club leadership experience (essential).
n
Be a confident leader who inspires, motivates, and engages teams.
n
Demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills.
n
Be organised, resilient, and capable of managing competing priorities.
n
Hold current RSA & ARCG certifications (essential).
n
Bring experience across areas such as food and beverage, gaming operations, compliance management, and customer service.
n
