Senior / Principal Engineer – Construction & Temporary Works

The Role
n
You'll work across temporary and permanent works, developing practical designs and technical reports, assessing construction risk and methodology, and working directly with contractors on site.
n
Projects involve civil infrastructure and complex construction environments, including live services, excavations, staging, authority interfaces, QA/QC and engineering assurance.
n
For an experienced Principal, there is scope to take significant technical ownership, certify your own work and help build and mentor the engineering team.
n
For a robust Senior Engineer ready to step up, there is a clear pathway to greater technical and leadership responsibility.

Who we're looking for
n
Ideally, you'll bring:
n
n




Civil Engineering qualifications – RPEQ highly regarded
n
Tier 1/Tier 2 contractor or equivalent construction experience
n
Temporary and/or Permanent Works experience
n
Strong design capability and construction judgement
n
Experience with live infrastructure, buildability and construction methodology
n
Confidence working directly with contractors, clients and authorities
n
Commercial awareness and the ability to work autonomously
n
n
You'll be equally comfortable working through a design in the office and standing on site with a contractor figuring out how it can actually be built.
n
We're also particularly interested in Engineers who see the potential for AI, automation and technology to improve engineering delivery.
