Own the strategy, architecture, service design and delivery quality of the MSP's networking practice across a multi-tenant client base
n
Establish a standardised, secure and automatable networking fabric spanning campus, data centre, cloud and edge
n
Set reference architectures and govern the vendor stack
n
Mature network automation and observability
n
Ensure the networking practice scales efficiently while maintaining predictable margins and measurable service outcomes
n
Review the current MPLS platform, network architecture and risk register
n
Design, architect and implement the next-generation network with major stakeholders
n
Lead the network automation transformation to improve efficiency, client time to value and risk management
n
Conduct capacity planning for organic and exceptional growth
n
Participate in pre-sales and provide solutions for client opportunities
n
Engage in opportunity and win strategies with business stakeholders
n
Ensure proposed client solutions are feasible and aligned with core network platforms
n
Participate in the Change Advisory Board and assess core network platform changes
n
Maintain the core network risk register and ensure mitigation plans are actioned
n
Develop network platform metrics and reports for executive, business and IT management
n
Maintain knowledge of organisational technologies and architectures
n
Develop and maintain current-state and planned-state architectural blueprints
n
Assess enterprise architecture and infrastructure initiatives' impact on service-provider platforms
n
Advise on technology vendor and solution decisions
n
Develop total-cost-of-ownership models for business cases
n
Respond to major incidents during and outside business hours as required
n
Cultivate relationships with management across the business
n




Provide technical mentoring and leadership to engineering staff
n

Requirements
n
n
Substantial senior experience in enterprise or service-provider networking, ideally in an MSP or multi-tenant setting
n
Demonstrable leadership or design-authority experience
n
Deep, current expertise in SASE, SD-WAN, ZTNA, campus, data centre and cloud networking
n
Proven experience designing and operating multi-tenant managed network services at scale
n
Strong network automation and infrastructure-as-code experience, with a preference for standardisation
n
Experience owning major-incident response and SLA-based service-quality outcomes
n
Understanding of Essential Eight and ISO ***** security and compliance frameworks
n
Experience leading, mentoring and growing technical teams
n
Excellent client-facing communication skills
n
Required tertiary education such as an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience
n
CCIE certification or equivalent experience
n
Hands-on knowledge of SASE/SSE, ZTNA, SD-WAN, secure web gateways and CASB integration
n
Enterprise switching, Wi-Fi 6E/7, cloud-managed networking and AIOps-driven fabrics
n
Data-centre L2/L3 fabrics, EVPN-VXLAN, overlay/underlay design, firewalling and load balancing
n
Azure and AWS networking, hub-and-spoke and virtual WAN topologies, cloud-native connectivity and hybrid interconnect
n
BGP, OSPF, VLANs/VRFs, QoS and multicast fundamentals
n
Infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, network telemetry,



flow analytics, AIOps and full-stack correlation
n
Ubuntu Server, Docker containers, NMS infrastructure, TACACS, RADIUS, Syslog, Grafana and time-series databases
n
Availability to respond to major incidents during and outside business hours as required
n
