About the Role
n
As General Manager you will be fully accountable for the performance and management of warehouse operations. This role offers the
n
opportunity todefine, plan, manage and sustain organisation and operational change and transformation projects that will truly
n
make a difference.
n
A full '360' role, you willmanage all aspects of the Distribution Centre covering inbound and outbound processing, warehouse
n
management, distribution management, internal quality control, returns processing and stock integrity, safety, budget, Unipart
n
Way, and compliance.
n
Managing and delivering objectives through effective process management and leadership of your team, you will ensure that all
n
customer SLA and KPIs are met and that a continuous improvement programme is rigorously managed through driving a culture of
n
As part of your key responsibilities you'll:
n
n
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental and quality standards
n
Ensure 'The Unipart Way' is implemented and embedded across the site and use the principles to ensure operational excellence
n
Embed a culture of employee engagement across the site; where the site is considered to be exemplary
n
Overall accountability for compliance with legal and ethical people management practice
n
Be accountable for setting operational objectives in accordance with business plan and targets
n
Have overall accountability for operational performance to Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators and monitor performance through operational reviews and audits
n
Ensure that the operating budget is set and managed within targets
n
Be responsible for effective two-way communication processes with team, customer, and suppliers
n
n
About You
n
We'd love you to have the following skills and experience, but
n
role!
n
n
Experience operating at a senior level in a logistics / warehouse environment
n
Proven ability to manage large teams (400+)to deliver the required standards and performance
n
High level of commercial competence - with experience instart up and transition activity - from contract renewal to commercial frameworks and customer engagement
n
Solid experience in defining, planning, managing and sustaining both organisation and operational change and transformation projects - e.g. automation implementation and systems interfaces (from AGVs and Goods to Person, through to ASRS)
n
Ability to work under pressure in a challenging and constantly changing environment, evidenced by previous experience in a fast changing, volume driven working and customer environment
n
Transparent leadership skills,
to inspire with energy and passion within and across Senior Leaders and their teams
n
Proven effective relationships with client / customer at a senior level
n
