Job Description
This is a management accounting role focused on financial analysis, reporting, and business insights to support decision-making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Prepare and analyse budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
n
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reports.
n
Analyse revenue, gross margins, operating expenses and profitability by customer, product and business channel.
n
Perform detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods, identifying key drivers and providing recommendations.
n
Analyse inventory valuation, stock movements, inventory costs and product costs.
n
Monitor and analyse product margins, freight, warehousing and distribution expenses.
n
Assist with pricing and profitability analysis for new and existing products.
n
Prepare financial analysis and commercial insights to support business planning and management decision-making.
n
Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable performance and identify areas requiring improvement.
n
Prepare regular financial reports and management presentations,



providing explicit commentary and recommendations based on financial performance.

About you
n
n
A degree or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
n
3-5 years of relevant experience in management accounting or a similar commercial finance role.
n
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and management reporting.
n
Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret and communicate financial information clearly.
n
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial data into practical business recommendations.
n
Experience working with accounting and reporting systems such as MYOB, Power BI or other ERP/BI platforms.
n
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
n
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
