Are you a Project Manager who thrives on delivering complex, high-impact projects where safety, technology and operational excellence come together?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a significant national Safety Infrastructure Program, delivering projects across a large network of operational and supply chain sites.
n
You'll be responsible for taking safety initiatives from concept and design through procurement, installation, commissioning and handover, ensuring every solution is delivered safely, commercially, on time and with lasting operational impact.
n
This is more than a traditional project management role. You'll be helping to create safer workplaces for thousands of people, while introducing innovative technology and infrastructure designed to prevent incidents before they happen.
n
The Opportunity
n
As Safety Infrastructure Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of a national portfolio of safety-focused infrastructure and technology projects across operational sites.
n
Pedestrian and vehicle separation systems
n
Vehicle immobilisation and key retention systems
n
Loading dock safety and integration works
n
AI-enabled CCTV and hazard detection technology
n
Collision avoidance systems for forklifts and materials handling equipment
n
Integration of dock infrastructure including lighting, levellers, restraints and doors
n
Site-based safety improvements and operational controls
n
You'll work across multiple locations and stakeholder groups, bringing together internal teams, contractors, technology providers and operational leaders to deliver projects that make a tangible difference.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
Lead the end-to-end delivery of a national safety infrastructure program, from initiation through to project close-out.
n
Manage planning, design coordination, procurement, implementation, commissioning, handover and post-project activities.
n
Deliver multiple projects concurrently across live operational environments.
n
Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, quality, safety and compliance.
n
Coordinate with IT, Safety, Health & Environment, operations, site leadership, contractors, vendors and frontline teams.
n
Oversee the installation and integration of safety infrastructure and technology solutions.
n
Manage contractors throughout installation, testing, defect rectification and operational handover.
n
Lead site readiness, communication, training and change management activities.
n
Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, interfaces and issues.
n
Provide clear governance, reporting and escalation to senior leadership.
n
Ensure solutions are embedded effectively at site level and deliver sustainable safety outcomes.

What You'll Bring
n
We're looking for a highly capable Project Manager who can combine strong project discipline with practical operational and safety thinking.
n
You'll ideally bring:
n
Proven end-to-end project management experience across initiation, planning, execution, governance and close-out.
n
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects across operational or site-based environments.
n
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence everyone from senior leadership through to frontline operational teams.
n
A strong safety mindset and the confidence to balance delivery requirements with operational risk and compliance.
n
Excellent commercial and contractor management capability.
n
Strong risk, dependency and interface management skills.
n
Experience translating technical and safety requirements into practical site-level solutions.
n
Strong communication, influencing and problem-solving skills.
n
A highly organised, delivery-focused approach with a genuine bias towards action.
n
Your Background
n
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering projects within environments such as:
n
Warehousing and logistics
n
FMCG
n
Food manufacturing
n
Distribution centres
n
Retail supply chains
n
Manufacturing
n
Industrial facilities
n
Materials handling
n
Large-scale operational environments
n
Particularly valuable will be experience delivering safety infrastructure, capital works, operational technology or facility upgrade projects.
n
You may have worked with:
n
Pedestrian barriers and traffic management systems
n
Loading dock equipment and safety systems
n
Vehicle restraint systems
n
Key retention and immobilisation systems
n
CCTV and surveillance technology
n
Forklift and materials handling safety technology
n
Collision avoidance systems
n
Operational traffic controls
n
Site safety infrastructure
n
Experience delivering multi-site or national rollout programs will be highly regarded.
n
Qualifications
n
Ideally, you will have:
n
Formal qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Operations, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
n
PRINCE2 Practitioner and/or PMP certification is strongly preferred.
n
WHS, risk management or safety management
qualifications/training
would be advantageous.
n
Change management training or certification would be beneficial.
n
A current Australian driver's licence and the ability to travel to operational sites as required.
n
