We are seeking an experienced NetworkDesigner to join our Network Design team. In this role, you will translatecustomer and internal requirements into end-to-end, buildable, cost-effective,and standards-compliant network designs across IP/MPLS, Transmission, Fibre,and Radio domains.
n
You will produce high-quality
designdocumentation,
act as the technical point of contact throughout the orderlifecycle, and collaborate closely with Planning, Provisioning, Build, andProject teams to ensure successful delivery of network services.
n
This role requiresstrong technical expertise across multiple network domains, excellent designjudgement, and the ability to mentor junior designers.
n
Receivecustomer and internal orders from the Planning team, analyse
requirements,scope,
and feasibility before commencing design
n
Produceend-to-end network designs that deliver buildable, cost-effective, andstandards-compliant solutions
n
Prepareand issue comprehensive design packs (HLD, LLD, schematics, bill of materials,and configuration templates) to Provisioning, CAD, and Field teams withinagreed SLAs
n
Validatenetwork inventory, capacity, and route availability; raise
augmentationrequests
where required
n
Makeinformed design trade-off decisions on cost, resilience, lead time, andinfrastructure reuse, documenting rationale clearly
n
Ensureall designs meet engineering standards, customer SLA obligations,
anddiversity/resilience

Conductpeer reviews of designs and present own designs in design review forums forapproval
n
Serveas the technical point of contact for orders throughout their
lifecycle,responding
to queries from Provisioning, Build, CAD, and Project Managementteams
n
Investigateand resolve design-related issues during build or activation; issue designamendments as needed
n
Maintainaccurate as-designed and as-built records in inventory and design systems
n
Contributeto continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, proposing standarddesign patterns, and updating templates and guidelines
n
Mentorjunior designers and share knowledge on new technologies, vendor platforms, andbest practices
n
Comply with workplaceHealth, Safety, and Workplace (HSE) policies and procedures at all times
n
Actively contribute toprocess improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to workflows and bestpractices
n
Undertake any other dutiesand activities as requested by the line manager or as required by businessneeds

Requirements
n
Education:Bachelor's degree in
Telecommunications,
Electronics, Computer Science, orrelated engineering field
n
Experience:5–8+ years of hands-on experience in network design within a telecom or serviceprovider environment
n
Hands-ondesign experience with major vendor platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, orHuawei)
n
Strongexpertise in Cisco Routing & Switching (IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR, Catalyst,Nexus, ASR/NCS)
n
Solidknowledge of IP/MPLS technologies including OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, LDP, RSVP-TE,L2VPN/L3VPN, and QoS
n
Transmissiondesign experience across DWDM, OTN, and/or SDH (wavelength planning, linkbudgets, protection)
n
Fibrenetwork design including fibre selection, ODF/FDH allocation, and optical lossbudgeting
n
Diversenetwork design with true A/B path diversity across cables, joints, and conduits
n
Radionetwork design knowledge (microwave links, 4G/5G transport, fronthaul &backhaul;)
n
Experiencewith voice transport design (TDM, SIP, VoIP, IMS/VoLTE)
n
Workingknowledge of engineering systems (Netcracker, MapBlaster, VMR,
DesignInvestigator,
Spatial Web)
n
Stronganalytical and decision-making skills
n
Excellentcommunication
and stakeholder management abilities
n
Abilityto mentor and share knowledge effectively
n
