Lead the strategic planning cycle for the power business
n
Shape divisional plans, performance measures and strategic priorities supporting long‐term growth
n
Drive prioritisation of power opportunities through portfolio frameworks
n
Ensure capital is allocated to initiatives with the greatest strategic and commercial value
n
Partner with senior leaders on Energy Solutions' long‐term power development strategy
n
Provide insights on market trends, industry dynamics and emerging opportunities
n
Develop business cases for organic growth initiatives and critical investment decisions
n
Prepare high‐quality analysis, board papers and executive‐level presentations
n
Influence business decisions and foster continuous improvement across portfolio governance and decision‐making forums
n
Provide analytical leadership and specialist support across power investment opportunities
n
n
Requirements
n
n
Tertiary qualification in economics, commerce, engineering or a related discipline
n
At least 5 years' relevant experience, ideally in the energy sector
n
Significant experience in strategy, portfolio analytics, investments or the energy sector
n
Strong portfolio management capabilities
n
Ability to develop priorities and frameworks supporting long‐term business strategies
n
Exposure to the National Electricity Market (NEM) and/or Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM)
n
Understanding of market dynamics shaping Australia's energy transition
n




Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Proven ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders and cross‐functional teams
n
Strong commercial acumen
n
Exposure to assessing investment opportunities
n
Understanding of power purchase agreements
n
Experience working within wholesale electricity markets or broader energy businesses
n
Must be eligible to work in Australia
n
Subject to background vetting, including police checks, before and during employment
n
