Construction Project Manager | Toowoomba

We're partnering with an established Queensland builder looking to appoint an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their growing team.
n
With a solid pipeline across social housing, commercial, automotive and retirement living, you'll take ownership of projects typically ranging from $5M-$10M, with larger developments reaching approximately $30M.
n
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working within a lean project team where you can genuinely take ownership rather than getting lost within layers of management.
n
About the Role
n
Working alongside the General Manager and Construction Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful commercial and operational delivery of your projects from pre-construction through to completion.
n
The business operates with a lean internal structure consisting of Project Managers, Contract Administration and Site Management.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
End-to-end management of commercial construction projects
n
Managing project budgets, forecasting and commercial performance
n
Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
n
Contract administration, variations, claims and cost control
n
Programming and monitoring construction progress
n
Working closely with Site Managers to drive project delivery
n
Managing client, consultant and subcontractor relationships
n




Identifying project risks and resolving issues before they impact delivery
n
Ensuring projects meet programme, quality, safety and compliance requirements
n
n
Ideally, you will have:
n
n
Proven Project Management experience within commercial building
n
Strong commercial and contractual capability
n
Experience managing subcontractors and trade packages
n
Sound knowledge of Australian construction codes and standards
n
Strong programming, cost management and reporting capability
n
A practical approach to problem solving
n
Confidence dealing directly with clients, consultants and subcontractors
n
The ability to travel regularly to Toowoomba if Brisbane based
n
n
Candidates from interstate or other regions are encouraged to apply, provided you have strong knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
