An outstanding prospect has presented itself for a supervisor to lead our linehaul operations based at our Sydney Freight Terminal.
n
What You'll Do
n
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be accountable for leading and coordinating day‐to‐day Linehaul operations, ensuring safe, efficient and customer‐focused service delivery.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Lead operational activities to support Delivery in Full, On Time (DIFOT) targets.
n
Ensure all train movements and Linehaul functions operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with PN standards.
n
Champion cultural change and continuous improvement in safety, performance, and productivity.
n
Provide effective leadership to train crews, supporting training, assessment, and ongoing capability development.
n
Implement business improvement initiatives and support national and local operational plans, including roster optimisation and operational efficiency.
n




Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders to support customer‐centric service outcomes.
n
Contribute to asset, labour and resource planning to ensure optimal utilisation.
n

Demonstrated leadership experience within a heavy industry or complex operational environment.
n
Strong decision‐making and problem‐solving skills.
n
Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast‐paced, safety‐critical workplace.
n
Experience driving safety improvements and managing risk.
n
Ability to engage, influence, and motivate frontline teams.
n
Confidence in having difficult conversations and leading staff through change.
