Role Description

This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded financial accountant to play an integral role in their finance function and support multiple international business operations.
n
The successful candidate will be a pragmatic, hands‐on leader who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast paced workplace with stakeholders across different countries and time zones
n
Skills and Responsibilities
n
Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of the day to day finance operations while ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This is a broad role suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategic financial oversight with hands on financial management
n
n
Manage the end to end finance function across multiple international entities
n
Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements and cash flow forecasts
n
Coordinate payroll across multiple regions; ensuring accuracy and compliance.
n
Manage taxation, GST, BAS, PAYG, superannuation and statutory reporting requirements
n
Coordinate annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors during year-end audits.
n
Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
n
Reconcile bank accounts and maintain strong financial controls.
n
Monitor budgets, forecasts and business performance
n
Work closely with managers and finance contacts across Australia, PNG, Qatar, Dubai, Malaysia, India and Oman.
n
Assist with process improvements, system enhancements and finance automation initiatives.
n
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and regulatory requirements
n

Skills and Experience
n




You will be an experienced finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and building strong relationships across the business.
n
n
Professionally recognised accounting qualifications
n
Minimum of 5 years experience in a Financial Accountant or Finance Manager role
n
Experience managing multi-entity or international finance operations an advantage (not essential)
n
Solid knowledge of Australian payroll, taxation and superannuation legislation
n
Experience liaising external auditors and year end financial reporting.
n
Excellent understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and general ledger management
n
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and experience with modern accounting systems - Xero and MYOB
n
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
n
A practical, pragmatic and solutions focused approach to problem solving
n
High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
n
