Kilcoy Global Foods currently has permanent opportunitie for Qualified Electrician to join our team in a fast-paced, 24/7 beef production environment. Work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration, biomass boiler.
n
Your responsibilities
n
n
Preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, with a strong focus on a preventative approach.
n
Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures and maintenance.
n
Engage with the production team to optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis.
n
Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed.
n
Maintain a strong focus on health and safety.
n
Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities.
n
Prioritise urgent repairs of equipment.
n
Understand the importance of troubleshooting and problem solving.
n
Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of the various sections of the plant.

Lifestyle roster, work 60 hours, 24 hours, 36 hours,



48 hours over the 4-week period.

Renumeration
n
n
Day shift $***** per hour. Plus, shift penalties and overtime
n

About you
n
n
A grade Queensland Electrical licence essential.
n
CPR low voltage rescue and recovery.
n
Pro-actively check and maintain electrical systems and circuits on all equipment in accordance with planned maintenance requirements and manufactures instruction.
n
Service and repair plant machinery and investigate breakdown cause and effect.
n
Provide advice on operating procedures for plant and equipment to ensure optimum performance trouble shooting machinery and systems
n
Maintenance of the test and tag program for all plant machinery
n
PLC experience highly regarded
n
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
n
Proven knowledge of work health & safety, safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace.
n
Strong mechanical aptitude.
n
A high standard of communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously being proactive and efficient.
n
High level fault finding and problem solving skills.
n
Modern control systems including VSDs, soft starters and PLC controls systems highly regarded.
n
Driver's licence and reliable vehicle or reliable means of getting to work.
n
