Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive General Practice team on a casual basis, working 1-2 days per week, primarily on Tuesday. The successful candidate should also be able to provide cover for sick leave and other planned staff absences as required.

This casual role will involve providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our General Practitioners and patients.

What you'll be doing
n

Greeting and welcoming patients, both in-person and on the phone, in a warm and qualified manner
n
Scheduling and managing patient appointments efficiently
n
Handling patient inquiries and providing information about our services
n
Maintaining accurate electronic patient records
n
Assisting with medical billing
n
Performing general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients,



medical staff, and other stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner.
n
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
n
Proficiency in using medical practice management software and Microsoft Office applications.
n
Previous experience using Best Practice medical software is preferred, but not essential.
n
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding patient privacy.
n
A friendly, patient, and helpful attitude, with a genuine interest in providing high-quality customer service.
