Environmental and Processing Engineering design
n
PLC and HMI programming.
n
Development of Piping and Instrumentation Drawings
n
Development of Process Flow Diagrams.
n
Develop Operational and Maintenance documentation.
n
Process and Chemical Engineering procedural development.
n
Pump and pipe modelling and design.
n
Practical building of wastewater treatment equipment.
n
Monitoring and servicing wastewater treatment equipment.
n
Hands on service, maintenance of water treatment equipment.
n
Calibration of Analytical Equipment.
n
Plant performance reporting.
n
Development of technical documentation (ie. management plans, policies, and procedures for Clients).
n
Laboratory and pilot scale testing.
n
Preparing and executing environmental approvals.
n
Environmental Modelling.
n
Accurate record keeping as per Alpha Concepts Policy and Procedure.
n
Learn as much as you can from more senior Engineers to develop yourself into a valuable team member.
n

Other
n
n
Work hands-on in other roles within the organisation in busy times and during staff shortages.
n
Perform other duties as requested by your supervisor from time to time.
n
Be willing to keep technical skills current through attending seminars and training as required by management.
n
Be involved in weekend coverage and callout.
n

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
n
Essential (must have or be able to quickly obtain)
n
n




Bachelor level Engineering Qualification in a Chemical / Environmental / related engineering field of study (recognized in Australia).
n
High commitment to WH&S; practices and focus on eliminating and minimizing hazards.
n
Sound administrative skills to ensure correct documentation is supplied to Alpha Concepts in an accurate and timely manner.
n
Physical strength and ability to work in awkward positions.
n
Willingness to work physically on site (i.e. testing, inspecting, assisting with minor maintenance, dosing).
n
Current valid C-class open drivers' license and willingness to drive long distances to remote client worksites .
n
Ability to pass Client worksite Medical Examinations;
n
Ability to easily lift 25 kilograms safely without assistance (i.e. chemical drum);
n
Ability to perform regular bending, stretching, twisting whilst carrying 25 kilograms;
n
Working in confined or limited space;
n
Ability to stand or sit all day (depending on the task);
n
Ability to move and operate plant and equipment safely without injury to yourself or others.
n
Ability and willingness to comply with government Health Directives/ Mandates (ie. Covid-19 vaccinations, mask wearing).
n




Ability to work away from Gladstone for a period of two to six days on a monthly basis.
n
Willingness to undertake a drug and alcohol test at any time during your employment (to ensure safety).
n
Flexibility in relation to work hours and travel.
n

Continued Professional and Personal Development in the fields of Process Engineering, Water and Wastewater treatment.

(if Engineer: member of Engineers Australia or similar skilled engineering body)
n
Construction industry White or Blue card.
n

REMUNERATION
n
Remuneration will be market value dependent upon the successful applicants' experience.
