Redpath Partners are partnering with a leading hyperscale data centre operator to appoint a Controls & Building Management Systems Engineer in Sydney.

This is an autonomous technical role responsible for the reliability, optimisation and performance of the control systems within a mission-critical data centre environment.

The Role
n
You will take ownership of the site's control systems, working closely with operations and technical teams to keep critical infrastructure reliable and performing at its best.
n
Key responsibilities:
n
Maintain, troubleshoot and optimise Building Management and Distributed Control Systems.
n
Lead fault finding, incident response and root cause analysis.
n
Program and troubleshoot Tridium Niagara, PLC and direct digital control systems.
n
Manage BACnet, Modbus and other control system communication protocols.
n
Identify and deliver plant, system and energy-efficiency improvements.
n
Support maintenance, commissioning, defect rectification and improvement projects.
n
About You
n
3+ years' experience with Tridium Niagara-based control systems.
n
Strong experience across Building Management, Distributed Control, PLC or SCADA systems.
n
Good understanding of HVAC, electrical,



UPS and chilled water systems.
n
Hands-on experience with PLC programming, direct digital control and BACnet/Modbus.
n
Strong troubleshooting, networking and server administration skills.
n
Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
n
Data centre or other mission-critical environment experience highly desirable.
n
Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of technical issues.
