We are seeking a Science Teacher – Biology Specialist to join our Senior School team on a temporary full-time basis for the remainder of the **** school year.
n
With demonstrated expertise in Biology and the ability to teach Earth and Environmental Science at the senior secondary level, this role calls for strong subject knowledge and a passion for engaging students in Science. The successful applicant will deliver high-quality teaching, inspire and motivate students, and contribute positively to the wider School community.
n
The successful applicant will be collaborative, committed and keen to contribute to a positive and collegial Science Department. They will share ideas, listen to others, take responsibility for their work and reflect on their practice, with a genuine commitment to the learning and development of students.

Availability to commence before 20th September **** is highly desirable to support a smooth handover.

Salary in accordance with the Independent Schools CMEA

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Teach allocated Science classes, with a particular focus on Biology and Earth and Environmental Science
n
Plan, prepare, and implement engaging programs that meet curriculum requirements and cater to a range of student abilities and learning needs
n
Deliver high-quality practical and theoretical learning experiences
n
Assess student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and maintain accurate records
n
Collaborate with the Science Department and contribute to curriculum planning and development
n
Contribute to school activities, including pastoral care, events, and meetings, as required
n
Maintain professional standards and uphold the School's policies and values
n
n
Requirements
n
n
NESA accreditation and relevant tertiary qualifications in Science, with a specialisation in Biology
n
Demonstrated experience teaching Biology at secondary level, including senior secondary Biology
n
Ability to teach Earth and Environmental Science
n
Strong classroom management and communication skills
n
Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements
n
Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
n
Full Australian work rights
n
Ability to commence prior to 20 September **** is highly desirable
n
