We are currently seeking aMaintenance Trades Assistantto join their manufacturing plant. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, hands-on individual who enjoys working in a workshop setting and supporting experienced tradespeople and the maintenance team.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assist qualified tradespeople with general maintenance and workshop duties.
n
Utilize a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
n
Apply welding knowledge and skills as required.
n
Support mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
n
Assist with general factory and production support as directed.
n
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
n
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and safe work practices.
n
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
n
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
n
Be proactive in identifying and assisting with day-to-day maintenance and operational challenges.
n
n
To Be Successful, You Will Ideally Have
n
n
Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial or similar environment.
n
Previous workshop experience.
n
Welding knowledge or practical experience is essential.




n
Mechanical and/or electrical factory support experience.
n
Ability to confidently use a range of hand and power tools.
n
Current Australian Driver's License.
n
Valid Forklift License is essential.
n
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
n
Effective time management and organizational skills.
n
Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
n
Ability to work safely and efficiently within a manufacturing environment.
n
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.Willingness to learn, adapt and embrace new ideas.
n
Reliable attendance, punctuality and clear communication.
n
Willingness to assist both the maintenance and production teams as required.
n
A proactive approach, with the ability to identify issues and contribute practical solutions.
n
A motivated, dependable and positive attitude.
n

What's On Offer
n
n
Casual to full-time opportunityfor the right candidate.
n
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
n
Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
n
Some on-call or weekend work may occasionally be required.
n
Prospect to work within an established and reputable Queensland manufacturing business.
n
Stable, hands-on role with the opportunity to develop your skills and experience.
n
