Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Energy Trader to join a dynamic team responsible for managing trading activities across the NEM. This role will involve developing and executing trading strategies, optimising portfolio performance, and ensuring compliance with market regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Execute short-term and medium-term trading strategies within the NEM.
n
Monitor market conditions, price trends, and regulatory changes to identify trading opportunities.
n
Optimize the performance of renewable energy assets through effective bidding and dispatch strategies.
n
Collaborate with forecasting, operations,



and risk management teams to align trading decisions with portfolio objectives.
n
Maintain accurate records of trades and ensure compliance with market rules and internal policies.
n
Provide insights and reporting on trading performance and market developments.

Skills & Qualifications
n
n
Proven experience in energy trading within the NEM (essential).
n
Strong understanding of renewable energy markets and asset optimisation.
n
Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex market data.
n
Proficiency in trading systems and tools; advanced Excel or programming skills (Python/R) desirable.
n
Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
